Recipients are entities that can be voted on, in addition to Companies. All Recipients are listed in the Admin menu. From this point,
- a new Recipient can be added;
- an existing Recipient can be modified or deleted by selecting the Recipient from the drop-down box then selecting Modify or Delete;
- a list of Recipients can be added altogether by importing an Excel (.csv) file with specific formatting options
- types of Recipients can be added, modified, and deleted;
|
Recipients are added by the following fields (required ones marked with *):
- *First Name
- Middle Initial
- *Last Name
- *RecipientID (e.g. some short form by which a Recipient can be identified)
- *Type
- *Company
- *Industries: Any number of industries can be selected by holding down the Ctrl key while selecting each industry). At least one industry must be selected.
When adding a Recipient, the recipientid is checked in the database for duplicates. Duplicates are not allowed and will not be added. In this case, the Administrator is prompted with an error message.

All Recipient data can be modified freely without affecting the relationship to already cast votes. A recipientID can only be changed to non-existing IDs.
|
When a Recipient is deleted, all associations to voting blotters, as well as already cast votes for this Recipient are deleted as well. When voting periods are open, a Recipient should not, but can be deleted.
Note: Once data has been deleted, it cannot be revived.
